The Characters of Essendon Creative

David Fuller / Managing Director

I have done a few things over the years, but after starting this business in 1999 from home, I just can’t imagine doing anything else. I love the challenge of being a business owner. Essendon Creative has grown and changed quite a bit over the years, and I imagine it will continue to do so.

I sat at my first computer in 1983 while learning to program at night school. Back then it was good old DOS – way before Windows! Most of the team here wasn’t even born then so they’ve got some catching up to do!

I’m passionate about what we do, and the way we do it! We’ve created an environment that is both creative and friendly. We don’t hide behind technology, we use it to meet a need. For us it’s all about people, the coffee and the creative!

  • AFL Team: North Melbourne
  • Coffee: Yes please! Black, white, whatever... just keep it coming!
  • Twitter: @evadrelluf
  • Likes: Gadgets and all manner of tech stuff, music, boxing, kickboxing, reading, movies

Nadia Fuller / Office Manager

I joined David in the business back in 2007. I had until then been working in office management for another company part-time while raising a family. It's a good to be able to call Essendon Creative a family business, and that's how it feels. (Just when one lot of children was off my hands...)

David might have the title, but everyone knows who the real boss around here is! My role is to keep the office running smoothly, handle accounts payable and receivable and to keep the guys on track (especially Dave). A role I thoroughly enjoy.

[Well that shatters my illusions of being in control! - Dave]

  • AFL Team: North Melbourne
  • Coffee: Very weak latte, one sugar
  • Likes: Keeping Dave under control ;)

Jacob Leech / Web Developer

Having completed a bachelor of Multimedia/Media studies at the beginning of 2011 I joined the Essendon Creative team in late July of the same year. I hope to apply and expand on the information that I attempted to absorb at university.

Being both a massive music and film fan has meant I have assimilated into the team very easily. The office is typically abuzz with music and I intend to keep that trend going during my time here.

[And he has reasonable taste in music. It would be wise to keep it that way! - Dave]

Being a keen learner and hard-worker, I hope to prove a vital addition to the already stellar Essendon Creative team.

  • AFL Team: Essendon
  • Coffee: Latte, one sugar, several a day (keeps me focused)
  • Likes: Music, Films, Web-Design, Fashion, Video-Gaming

Ailish Lydon / Graphic Designer

In September 2011, I came in to Essendon Creative to show Dave my design work, and, 1 week later, I was working for him (and had developed a coffee addiction.)

[I should point out that it's not mandatory to love coffee to work here, but it does help! - Dave]

My role involves designing logos, websites, and anything visual that a business might need. I studied graphic design at RMIT University where I learned to love grids and developed a passion for solving visual problems. Making websites usable and good-looking at the same time is important to me.

I'm looking forward to learning much more from my colleagues and our clients.

  • AFL Team: Fremantle
  • Coffee: Latte with one (and sometimes a sprinkle of cinnamon)
  • Likes: Good food, good films, and elegant typefaces.

Is this you? / Major Talent

I'm creative, hard working, fun and talented!

I love design and I love the web!

I want to work at Essendon Creative because I know I can bring some great skills to the table. I am willing to learn, teach, and be a valuable part of a team.

  • AFL Team: Not Collingwood! ;)
  • Coffee: I love it, or, I can learn to love it. (ok?)
  • Likes: Design, Web and working with people!
